‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: One epic tease via Grant Gustin

Flash

The second season of “The Flash” is at present on hiatus on The CW, and for most of the cast and crew, they are about to get the same thing. As star Grant Gustin revealed on Twitter today, Friday is the last day of filming for presumably the rest of the year, as everyone will get at least a couple of weeks to spend time with loved ones wherever they are in the world. The series films in Vancouver, so for the majority of the cast it means traveling out of the country back to their home base.

As for the tease that Gustin leaves you with here, it’s an awesome one: Episode 214 (which will likely air in late February / early March) will “blow your minds.” If this is a February episode, this makes some sense given that sweeps are when shows like to pull out some of the big guns.

As for stopping production on an episode midway through for a holiday break, that’s just logistics sometimes. Everyone will just have to pick up where they left off.

Speaking of which, we know from some of the promotional material that is out there that Barry Allen’s big challenge coming up is going to be figuring out a way, if at all possible, to save Patty Spivot from the hands of Zoom. Our notorious uber-villain has figured out that there is some sort of connection between the two, and that is enough to have her as the perfect bait. It makes perfect sense; if he kills her, that motivates Barry to use whatever reckless means he can in order to gain speed and try to defeat Zoom for revenge. Given that Zoom wants as much speed from Barry as possible after killing him, it certainly puts everything in a neat little bow.
