‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 10 preview: Longer look at ‘The Greater Good’

Sunday night marks the winter finale of “Madam Secretary” on CBS, and based on the sneak-peek video below, there is one thing with certainty that you can expect to see: Differences of opinion. Heck, it will probably happen from the start of the episode until the very end.

The new video below gives you some additional insight into how vast these differences truly are, as the conflict with Russia has escalated to the point that there are, at least on the surface, few ways to resolve this that will not lead into mass violence. Elizabeth suggests to continue working towards at least a cease-fire, and it is not met with the right sort of support.

By the time we do make it to the end of the episode, we hope that there is at least something that allows her and President Dalton to feel a little bit at ease, as both are going to be called upon to make some tough choices here. One other thing that is very interesting about how CBS is hyping this episode up is by repeatedly mentioning the word “cliffhanger” in promotional material. In other words, don’t expect everything to be tied together in a neat little bow at the ending. We’re going to have more coverage of it tomorrow, and it is not too stunning to think that they may wait until January (when the show could return) to give you all of the answers.
