NBC’s ‘The Voice’ iTunes results: Jordan Smith, Jeffery Austin, Emily Ann Roberts in contention

VoiceTuesday night marks the final results show for “The Voice” this season, and we gotta give the voters some credit for at least making three out of the four finalist spots interesting.

Let’s begin with the obvious: Jordan Smith. The frontrunner’s cover of “Somebody to Love” was actually able to topple Adele’s “Hello,” and as of this writing (which is about 12:00 p.m. Eastern time) he is #1 on the sales chart. He’s a lock to be the finale, and he’s probably winning the show. Not a lot of debate there.

As for everyone else, that’s where things get interesting when you consider that everyone left other than Shelby Brown is in the top 10. Here’s the order: Jeffery Austin (#3), Emily Ann Roberts (#4), Madi Davis (#5), Amy Vachal (#6), Braiden Sunshine (#7), Zach Seabaugh (#8), and Barrett Baber (#10). Ultimately, all of those races are too close to call. We’re thrilled that Jeffery made it so high and we think he has a shot, but remember the classic Blake Shelton Rule: His acts always do better than the iTunes results show. We wouldn’t be shocked if the final four acts are Emily, Barrett, Jordan, and Jeffery or Madi.

Personally, we’d be thrilled with a final roster of Jeffery, Emily, Jordan, and Madi, if for no other reason than that each coach would have a deserving artist in the finale. Ever since the format changed where a coach is not necessarily guaranteed a finalist, this is something that really doesn’t happen much. Shelby is really the only person we can rule out, mostly because it’ll probably be too much for someone to be out of the top ten this week.
