‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: New promo plays up Ben Higgins popularity

Just in case you somehow missed it before, here is another reminder that the upcoming season of “The Bachelor” really wants to play up just how much people like Ben Higgins, and we get it: He’s got a lot of things ladies are looking for. He’s handsome, he’s nice, and he’s someone who came across very well on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of the show.

The promo below mostly serves as a reminder of all of these things again, plus some of the romantic dates and drama of the early going this season. Somehow, this show manages to convince people to find new and creative ways to embarrass themselves on the first night; this time around, this includes having some poor woman come in with a giant flower on her head. How well do you think that is going to be received?

In the end, we think the first night of really any season of the show says a lot about what is going to be coming after that, mostly for the simple reason that people who try to make a giant spectacle of themselves over the show tend to be the ones who end up being the target of complains from some of the other contestants. (Granted, we know that producers coerce some of this, but still.)

The journey for Ben and the rest of the cast is going to be starting up on Monday, January 4 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. We’re going to hopefully have some further news soon, so be on the lookout for it!
