‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 9 preview: First look at ‘Russian Roulette’

Ever since the beginning of “Madam Secretary” season 2, there have been questions surrounding that attack on Air Force One, including how some of the characters are going to react to it over time. Well, let’s just say that everything could be coming to a peak on next weekend’s new episode “Russian Roulette.” If you have been interested in getting some answers, this installment will give you some, and also feature Elizabeth front and center for an issue of great importance at the United Nations.

If you have not seen the synopsis for this episode just yet, take a look at it below:

“Shortly before Elizabeth is to deliver a speech at the United Nations accusing Russia for the attack on Air Force One, Henry shares information that makes her reconsider her theory.”

Whatever happens in this episode in particular could have huge implications on the rest of the season. If Elizabeth or President Dalton makes the wrong move or the wrong accusation here, they run the risk of causing an international incident. This is something that they have to be extremely aware of the rest of the way this season, and we’ve also seen with this Russia storyline that almost nothing is cut and dry.

Could this be the last episode of the year? Signs point to “yes,” given that the midseason finale for the show in season aired on November 30. This is just one day earlier; while we are two episodes behind the pace from last season, it also started later thanks in part to the “CSI” series finale.
