‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 19 review: Are Carter and Jared done?

Is it fair to say that Elizabeth is a worrier on “Finding Carter“? Without a doubt, but at the same time it’s really hard to blame her when you take a step back and look at everything that has transpired in her life over the course of her life. She needs someone to help watch of her, and in some ways she should be grateful for it.

The big news from Tuesday night’s new episode is that Elizabeth uncovered that Carter’s new bar owner boyfriend Jared is not only married, but that he also has a kid. Sure, he tried to explain it away by saying that he is separated, but at the same time it’s a huge part of his life that he never brought up before now. As for the kid, he still wants a relationship with them … and given that Carter’s only 17, she’s not ready for that sort of commitment. Therefore, the two may be on shaky ground, but the story seems far from over.

We were on board with all of this, but then why go stay with Lori? The biggest problem with this show sometimes is that it feels like it is desperately clinging to Lori as an important part of the story, when it reality it really does not make a whole lot of sense to us for the character to still be around. Sure, we know she has the ties to Ben Wallace, but after everything that Carter and Lori have been through, we really can’t buy this and it weighed down almost all of Tuesday night’s episode.

In other news, Max and Taylor are still good and Gabe promises to take it easy when it comes to getting involved in their relationship. How long is that really going to last? Grade: C+.
