‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Who’s not appearing in crossover? Also, fall finale title

FlashLet’s start off this particular article of “The Flash” by jumping forward to the fall / winter (whatever you want to call it) airing on December 9. While we do not know much other than that this episode will reportedly feature the return of the Trickster, the title per SpoilerTV is none other than “Running to Stand Still.” It’d be nice to see Zoom in here somewhere, mostly because we still do not know who he is and last year, the identity of Reverse Flash was confirmed at that time.

Now, let’s jump back a week and focus on the crossover episode, which will be fully connected between “Arrow” and start on December 1. You really do have to watch both episodes this time to understand what is going on, and the event serves in some ways as an introduction to the world of “Legends of Tomorrow,” which will premiere on The CW next year.

We figure that moving forward we are going to have plenty of news to share regarding who is going to be appearing, so with that, we’re going to spend a minute or two here discussing who won’t be appearing. Specifically, we are talking about Joe West, Quentin Lance, and even Joe’s daughter Iris. Speaking to TVLine, Candice Patton confirmed that she will not have a role:

“[Iris is] actually not involved at all. I know that’s quite a disappointment to a lot of people, but she’s not involved in the crossovers that we have explored thus far. It doesn’t mean that we won’t ever see that. We know that crossovers have been extremely popular in our universe … so I’m sure we’ll have more.”

Given that we imagine that Iris is going to have a bigger and bigger role on “The Flash” as time goes by, especially if Barry ends up meeting his destiny as foretold in the future, she will probably have a role in some crossovers in due time.
