‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: All about the spirit of adventure

While DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” may be a show that is many months away from actually premiering, one of the nice things about its place in the CW universe is that there are continually opportunities to learn more about it. Over the coming weeks we’re going to see some new characters like the new half of Firestorm, Hawkman, and Hawkgirl, and to go along with that we’ve got the return of popular people like Sara Lance and Ray Palmer.

Above all else, this show looks designed to be a whole lot of fun, since you are getting effectively a different sort of adventure every week. “The Tomorrow People” and “Chuck” alum Phil Klemmer was the man hired to run this series, and speaking per Variety while at New York Comic-Con, he passed along the following message:

“It’s a highly serialized (show) that will be broken down into chapters where we go back into a specific time and place … We will see the ’70s, the Cold War, fascism, terrorism…It’s fully insane.”

We’re going to get a chance to discuss this show further in the weeks ahead, but until then, let’s remind you of how they are able to time-travel in the first place: Rip Hunter. The man is a noted time-traveler who is part of a special organization, and he rounds up the Legends with a simple goal in mind: The destruction of Vandal Savage, a villain who has been traveling through time for ages and causing endless carnage.
