‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Veto Ceremony results and aftermath
It’s hard to avoid that the Veto Ceremony in the “Big Brother 17” house Monday was one of the more predictable ones that we’ve seen this season. It was telegraphed from the moment that Austin won the Power of Veto: He would take himself off the block, and then Steve would nominate Julia as the replacement nominee. It may be somewhat sad to have the two twins on the block against each other, but what other move is he going to make at this point? There’s nothing else that really makes sense.
So Steve did exactly as you would expect in naming Julia as a replacement nominee, and we are already hearing stories all about how “powerful” the scene was from Vanessa using her typical exaggerated language. Probably the funniest thing on the feeds right now is how everyone seems to think that America is really invested in the twins’ story.
Steve claims that he does feel bad about putting them up together, and we believe him to a certain extent. However, he wants to win as much as anyone! Not putting them up would be him handing the twins and Austin the game on the platter, and while it’s still unlikely that he is going to make it to the end, he at least is giving himself a slightly-better chance to win if he does make it there.
Now that the Veto Ceremony is adjourned, we expect the only real drama of the next couple of days to be deciding who to evict. As of right now, it feels like it will be Julia. If Johnny Mac and Austin were smart, though, they’d keep Liz and take away some of Vanessa’s power. (Sure, it’s a risk because Liz is better in competitions, but we’d take that risk over giving Vanessa two people instantly in Austin and Julia.)
