MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 2 preview: Is something for Jenna and Matty on the horizon?

If you have watched “Awkward” over the years, then you are probably very much aware already that the show has made little effort to mask the fact that Jenna and Matty are probably endgame. They’ve always had feelings for one another, but they have gone back and forth so many times on whether or not they should be together that it’s hard to keep track of.

By the time the first half of this season is over, we could finally know one way or another if they are going to figure out a way to make this world. Feelings are going to eventually come to light, and both are going to realize that they were really good together. There’s just one big problem standing in their way: The future. Neither wants to necessarily have their plans completely thwarted by making too big of a sacrifice for the sake of their relationship, and this is something that they are going to have to work out if the relationship happens.

In addition to all of the romance chatter, the preview below (which actually encompasses much more than just Monday night’s new episode) also gives you a taste of a variety of other different events, which include everything from prom (which could contain a big moment for Lissa) to graduation, where apparently Sadie has some sort of meltdown … which is always something that is really outstanding to see.

Even after this first batch of episodes is over, remember that the final batch (which is probably coming in 2016) will feature a time jump to a year later. Therefore, you’ll get a chance to see what awaits these characters beyond Palos Hills.
