‘The View’: Elizabeth Warren, Alison Brie, Jason Sudeikis appearing on season premiere

There is little denying that this has been a tumultuous summer for “The View.” We’ve seen massive changes when it comes to the panel, and also a switch of executive-producer behind the scenes.

So where does this leave us going into Tuesday’s premiere episode? On-screen, we now have a roster that includes Whoopi Goldberg, newly-returning Joy Behar, Paula Faris, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure, and Raven-Symone. It’s a larger roster of women that we’ve seen as of late, but you do at least have every different viewpoint represented in one form or another.

Today, we are happy to report in part on who are going to be some of the first guests stopping by the show come September 8: As Collins tells Entertainment Weekly, Senator Elizabeth Warren, actress Alison Brie, and “Saturday Night Live” alumni Jason Sudeikis will all be making appearances. This is a very random assembling of people if there ever was one, but somehow this show does have a tendency to make things work in the end.

What they do have to figure out still is whether or not this is a panel that is going to work, and for the most part we have to say that we’re not quite sure and won’t be until we see them. It does feel like the casting was done with the right goal in mind, but sometimes people just struggle with getting their thoughts across in the right way, or clash with some of their co-hosts.
