‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: The early plan; potential roadblocks

JohnAt the time the “Big Brother 17” live show ending Thursday night, we had an army of people out there canceling their live feed subscriptions and proclaiming that all hope is lost. Sometimes, the good guys don’t always win … or at least the people who are proclaimed the good guys.

If you missed it last night, Steve is the new Head of Household, and he has seemingly made up his mind as to who he wants to nominate: Austin and Liz. He is well aware of the nightmare scenario that can happen with an alliance of three at this point in the game: If Julia wins the Veto, she can save Liz and force Steve to nominate either John or Vanessa. Then, they have the power to vote out whoever they want, and him winning HoH was almost completely useless.

In leaving Julia off the block, Steve is at least hedging his bets that Julia is the least-likely to win Veto out of anyone. The only competition she’s won was the one from Thursday’s double-eviction, and there was a major luck component to that once you got the ball past the first turn. It’s the right move at this point for him to make, but he does have to figure out whether or not he wants John or Vanessa on the block in the event it comes to that.

For those curious, it seems like Steve would prefer to see Austin leave this week, if for no other reason than that it gets rid of someone who would work with Vanessa down the line. Julia and Liz would still work with each other above her, and that limits her options.
