‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Zipz wine, Biaggi luggage, Gameday Couture, and SWAG Essentials
For all fans of “Shark Tank,” you’re really getting a treat tonight! There are two episodes airing on ABC Friday night, and the second one airing at 9:00 p.m. Eastern happens to contain one of the biggest deals that we’ve seen on the show. It also happens that the majority of the products featured in this episode happen to be ones we really like.
As per usual when we do these revisited pieces, we’re going to give you some sort of a taste of what has happened since the show previously featured these products … at least if there is really any news to share at all. Not all of these businesses end up being success stories.
Biaggi Luggage – We like what this company’s been up to in the past nine or so months! The website looks nice, they’ve got a roster of different designs, and it feels like there has been some serious hustle that has gone on to grow this business with the help of Lori Greiner. We don’t travel enough to be a customer, but we see the benefits of it being able to fold up.
SWAG Essentials – They are selling a lot of products now designed to get you smelling clean and feeling properly groomed, but we gotta be honest here: We completely forgot what the product was before looking it up. We remember that this was a really good pitch, but we just didn’t think the brand was there and it was distinguishable enough. We can tell that there have at least been some strikes taken since hen.
Gameday Couture – We still think that it’s a really sharp idea, especially since we know that there are still some people who like to go to sporting events looking nice, but rooting for the team. We’re a little surprised that they have not moved out of college football, but who knows? Maybe this just so happens to be what makes the most cash, or what they can license the easiest.
Zipz – This was a huge investment from Kevin O’Leary at the time, but to be honest we still have no idea how well this business is doing. They haven’t updated their social media profiles in months! It was Kevin’s goal seemingly to utilize some of their technology, and maybe he has done that and everyone’s happy. Hard to tell on this one, but the idea behind the single-serve wine (in particular the packaging) is wonderful.
