We know that Merida is going to make her presence felt at many points on “Once Upon a Time” season 5, but it is looking more and more like the character (played on the show by Amy Manson) is also about to get her own spotlight episode to go along with everything else.
According to co-creator Adam Horowitz’s latest post on Twitter (see below), “The Bear and the Bow” is the title for the sixth episode of this season. For those who are not aware, “The Bear and the Bow” was actually at one point the title for the movie “Brave” before it was changed. If there was ever a big hint as to what an episode is going to be about, this is it. We’re glad for a Merida episode, mostly because it ensures that she does not get lost in the middle of Camelot and all of the other things that the show has planned for the new season.
Andrew Chambliss and Tze Chun have penned this episode, and they both have worked on the show for at least a season. However, this is the first time that they have been credited on an episode together.
For those keeping track of all of the announced episode titles so far, here’s what we’ve got: “The Dark Swan,” “The Price,” “Siege Perilous,” “The Broken Kingdom,” “Dreamcatcher” (designed to be a very important Emma episode), and now “The Bear and the Bow.” It’s looking like a pretty good batch of stories.
The new season of “Once Upon a Time” is going to premiere on ABC come Sunday, September 27, and we hope to have some further news very soon!
