‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 8 review: Antonio works on marriage, Lindsay thinks about task force

Could we really see Lindsay leaving the team and running her own task force? This is a recurring storyline this season on “Chicago PD” and it’s a real possibility. They really want her to lead this task force and are pushing hard for it to happen, but what will happen to Voight, Halstead and the group if she’s gone? Will someone new take her place or will someone get promoted?

Antonio is doing everything he can to try to work things out with his soon to be ex-wife, including working a second job as security to help pay the mortgage for her and the kids, but she’s not willing to come back at this point. Is there hope for them in the future? It’s possible, but for now Antonio is accepting that it’s over and trying to move on. Antonio is later thrown for a loop when Olinsky tells him that his wife is wiling to give things another try and while we thought that he would be elated by the news, he’s seems conflicted.

The task force storyline is still going strong! Lindsay was asked to run her own task force and she turned it down, but they are not giving up on her that easy. She is a strong detective and they really want her, so they push again to get her to say yes. Instead she says maybe and that she needs time to think about it. Is she really going to leave the team?

There were also a few cute moments between Lindsay and Halstead in this episode for those of you out there shipping this potential couple, but we are still a ways away from an actual hook up happening. They have said they want to keep this professional and that’s what they are doing. Episode grade: B –
