‘Reign’ season 3 trailer: Queen Elizabeth issues a stern warning

The third season of “Reign” is coming to The CW on October 9, and judging from the first trailer released below, it looks to be one of the most complicated yet for a certain Mary, Queen of Scots. How much political turmoil is she going to be able to handle? With multiple queens coming at her, this could be a particularly hard story for her to bear.

One of the most notable additions to the show this season is the arrival of Queen Elizabeth, who first turned up at the end of season 2. Her court will allow us a chance to see another side of the monarchy battles going on in this time, and much to the dismay of Mary, Elizabeth is going to be a very aggressive, impossible-to-please ruler.

Hopefully, we are going to see the show moving some more of its action back to Scotland soon. The French court is interesting, but it feels like there is currently one event tying us there (and we’re not sure just how long producers can keep that twist from entering the equation).

Regardless of what happens, at least this promo is out there! It’s dramatic, sharp-tongued, and it gives you a sense that Mary could be in need of more help than ever by the time we reach the season’s end. Let’s just hope that the show does not cause itself to be too complicated thanks to all of the various courts they are showing off.
