‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did ‘Dunkin’ Save’ help Daniella Mass, Gary Vider, Benjamin Yonattan?

AGTGoing into Wednesday night’s “America’s Got Talent” results show, we said pretty explicitly that this was going to be the most intense race for the corporate-sponsored Dunkin’ Save to date. There were maybe two or three acts who were dead to rights (see Daditude or the Chapkis Dance Family) going into this show, but everywhere else there was a certain nature of unpredictability. (Of course, the biggest loser of the night Tuesday may have been Howie Mandel judging from the headlines coming out of the show.)

As always, we’re going to provide some assorted updates throughout the night on the Dunkin’ Save progress, coupled with the acts who America actually put through directly to advance. It’s fair to expect controversy on the level of what we had last week with Freckled Sky.

After a lengthy montage of Tuesday’s events, Benjamin Yonattan, Daniella Mass, and Gary Vider were announced as being up for the Save. It’s a difficult decision for sure for viewers from these three. Gary and Daniella probably have the most potential, but Benjamin is the feel-good story of the trio.

The first acts declared safe on the night were Alicia Michilli and Mountain Faith Band, which is somewhat surprising to us given that they did make it forward over Selected of God, who was eliminated despite the fact that we liked them way more than the judges did last night. The next three acts declared safe were ones we felt would be: The Professional Regurgitator, Freelusion, and Oz Pearlman.

Now, we turn to the Dunkin’ Save. Gary got it! The judges then chose Daniella over Benjamin, which was probably the right choice. We’re not going to dispute the results tonight too much, even though we’re a little bummed for Selected of God. Everyone who advanced was legitimately good.
