‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Swimming in a sea of indecision

Liz JuliaThere are some truly groan-inducing moments on the “Big Brother 17” live feeds this week, mostly because nobody really seems to have too much of an idea what to do when it comes to the vote.

At the end of last night, it felt somewhat like the prevailing thought was that Steve should stay over Johnny Mac, mostly because (as Julia pointed out) the odds are fairly low that Steve will come after them if he wins Head of Household. Do we think that these people are playing / thinking the right way? Hardly. They are assuming that someone like Steve will stick with them just because they’ve beaten it into his head, when they have all made it clear that he is at the bottom of their alliance. Why would he want to stay with that and not target someone like Austin or one of the twins? This is especially true if Johnny Mac comes back into the game and he has extra security.

At one point, we wanted to throw something at the feeds last night over the idea that the players would engage in rock, paper, scissors to try to figure this out. Even if they didn’t mean it, there should be an instant eviction for anyone who is fine with letting luck determine who goes home.

Other than waffling about the vote, this remains a quiet week. Meg made it clear at one point that James has zero shot with her (poor James!), while also we discovered that the houseguests’ favorite activity of candy-pelting was banned after Meg got hit in the face with one of them. Also, James and Meg talked about how they don’t like Vanessa’s strategy of crying whenever things don’t go how she wants them to … yet they’re part of the reason she is still there over Shelli.
