‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Another promo and costume drama!

On the surface, the latest season 2 promo for “The Flash” is not the most interesting one that the series has ever released. It really does not give too much away when it comes to story teases, and it also doesn’t give you any new guest stars to look forward to seeing.

For those of you who are eagle eyes, though, you may notice at least one thing with the costume: The changes from start to finish in these ten seconds. The promo begins with a glimpse at the new suit, which is more of the signature shade of red and also has the white Flash logo in the center. Then, you see Barry actually in his suit, and it’s back to the red Flash logo. What gives? The simple answer to that is that events are probably being shown in the promo out of order, and it’s possible Barry does not get his new costume until near the end of the premiere or even later.

Sure, we imagine it is also possible that Barry has one costume in a different part of the multiverse than the one he is wearing there. Given the different timelines and story possibilities that were introduced at the end of season 1, we really do have an open door when it comes to what could happen. This makes it hard to speculate as a writer, but it is a heck of a lot of fun as a viewer given that there is so much mystery, and so much that can happen.

The second season premieres on October 6, and you will see everything from new villains to a setup for DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” the latest entry in The CW’s superhero canon.
