‘America’s Got Talent’ preview: Daniella Mass, Freelusion, Gary Vider performing next

AGTIf you are like us, then there is at least a reasonably good chance that you are still trying to recover from the events of this past “America’s Got Talent” episode … and who would be able to really blame you? That proved to be one of the most shocking episodes in recent memory, given that we did end up seeing an act in Freckled Sky go home that we thought coming out of the auditions had a shot at actually winning the entire competition.

Next week we’re going to get to the final round of this portion of the competition, and we’re going to be left with 21 advancing acts at the end of it. Yes, that is a really bizarre number, and it makes us wonder if we’re going to get wild cards or something else after that. Our feeling is that you up the number to 24 or 25, have two semifinal shows, and then you do the finale after that. Time will tell.

For now, we thought we’d at least give you a reminder on who the final acts are to perform next week: Alicia Michilli (singer), Benjamin Yonattan (dancer), Chapkis Dance Family (self-explanatory), Daditude (dance group), Daniella Mass (singer), Freelusion (dance / visual act), Gary Vider (comedian), Metal Mulisha (stunt-bike performers), Mountain Faith Band (band), Oz Pearlman (mentalist), Selected of God (choir), and the Professional Regurgitator.

Of this group, we have a pretty interesting case of people who are all more darkhorses than runaway favorites. We’ve already seen all of the judges’ golden-buzzer acts. Heck, we’ve even seen all of the guest judges’ golden-buzzer acts. Nobody is coming in here with that pressure attached to them, but we think that Mass is probably a lock to move on, and the regurgitator is at least … interesting.
