‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: A possible calm before the storm

It feels this afternoon in the “Big Brother” house like something is going to happen pretty soon … but it just hasn’t yet. Many of the houseguests are ready and waiting for it nonetheless.

Vanessa has spent most of the day inside, sleepy and plotting away inside of her brain. She’s not isolating herself like Audrey did, but she has not really done anything yet. That’ll probably change soon. We saw overnight that James, Meg, and Jackie are at least strongly considering keeping her, and the best thing that she can do is try to figure out a way to convince them to take her in, and then go after the other people in the house. She’ll also need the support of at least two other people. Steve’s probably not going against Johnny Mac at this point, and Austin and the Twins may be her best shot.

Ultimately, it may not matter much who stays. The James / Meg / Jackie group has discussed just taking out Shelli next in the double-eviction (they seem pretty sure it’s happening) as a birthday gift to Jason. We’re not sure it’s smart to leave another three-person alliance in the house, but whatever.

Speaking of that alliance, Austin and the twins somehow continue to lay pretty low, other than Austin complaining about his Veto comic supposedly saying that he smells. Steve, meanwhile, is sort-of putting the movies on Julia, even in jest. She could probably rope him in if she really wanted to manipulate him, but we’re not sure she will.
