‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Vanessa’s retaliation and subsequent paranoia

We knew that this afternoon in the “Big Brother” house was going to be interesting from the moment that it was decided that a major threat to win the game was going up on the block, and we have to say that so far, it has not disappointed in the slightest. This has proven to be a strange, crazy day, and the worst is probably still to come since Vanessa, at least at the time in which we are writing this, is in her quiet phase.

Not too long after she was named Becky’s replacement nominee, her first order of business was to make sure that she blew up Becky’s game as much as she could. She tried to expose “The Generals,” a brief alliance that she made with Vanessa, Austin, Liz, Shelli, and Clay. Then, she also claimed that she would be a super-bitter juror and taint the entire jury against wanting to vote for her. We’ve always found this an interesting tactic, since for the most part it really just is extra motivation for people to want to get rid of her. After all, ruining Becky’s jury chances makes her more appealing to sit next to!

While all of this has gone down, Jackie, Meg, and James have thought about some of the accusations and are not taking them particularly seriously.

Elsewhere, Steve has taken to hiding to mostly avoid the drama going on in the house, and Julia has started her rounds of paranoia about Austin wanting her out of the game. To a certain extent, we understand it given that he has said what he did in that conversation with Jason. However, these three have to realize that they are more or less alone in this house, and that nobody else is particularly keen to lend them a helping hand.
