‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: The Veto players and what comes next

If you want some other evidence that Becky has really screwed things up as Head of Household on “Big Brother 17,” all you have to do is see the list of players competing right now for the Power of Veto. In addition to herself and nominees Steve and Shelli, the likes of Vanessa, Austin, and Meg are competing.

Really, there are not too many ways this draw could have gone worse. It’s possible that Steve throws this based on his conversations last night, but we’re hoping that the fact that Johnny Mac is not competing convinces him to go through with playing in it. Meanwhile, Meg is the worst competitor in the house and won’t win, and Austin may not have any motivation to win. If he keeps the nominations the same, he ensures at least that there is no funny business and the twins are safe.

If Vanessa wins, then Becky’s entire plan falls apart completely. One of the only moves that she can make from there is putting up Austin after Vanessa likely removes Shelli, and then hope that the twins do not come after her as a result of it. We just hope that she realizes that because of the way things have been drawn, she really does need to win this and get the blood on her hands. Also, it should be telling that Shelli picked Vanessa to play over John when she got houseguest’s choice.

We’re not necessarily rooting against Vanessa here at all; we’re just rooting for good gameplay and surprises, and we’d rather see Vanessa be saved as a result of some move she makes later rather than just because Becky made some ridiculous decision to not just nominate her and Shelli outright and ensure that one of them goes.
