‘Doctor Who’ season 9 spoilers: Bethany Black cast in mystery role

The ninth season of “Doctor Who” is premiering on the BBC in just over a month, and as we start to get closer and closer to that key date, maybe we are starting to get more of a deluge as far as casting news.

With that in mind, we present to you today some of the latest scoop we have found! Per a new report from her own Facebook page, comedienne Bethany Black has confirmed that she will be featured as a guest star for at least one episode of the series, and as a longtime fan of the show you can tell that she is incredibly grateful. “It is genuinely the greatest job I could ever have imagined getting. Everything about it is magical. I’m enjoying every day of filming and cherishing it, because you never know if you’ll ever get to do anything like this again. I only hope that I do the role and the show justice, and that you all enjoy it. For me it’s the gig of a lifetime.”

We do wonder already wonder if this is the same episode where there was some other recent casting news, and also the one that is being written by “Sherlock” star / executive producer Mark Gatiss. If this is the case, than this already-tremendous-sounding episode is just getting even more of a sparkle.
