ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Changes coming for Molly Quinn’s Alexis

While we’re not going to say that “Castle” is necessarily a coming-of-age story for Alexis Castle, this element to the show has been present throughout the past seven years as we’ve seen her grow up and start to figure out what she wants to do with her life. We’ve also seen some of her dating life, though it is no secret that Pi is almost the Voldemort of the series and should never be referenced by almost anyone. (Poor Pi…)

Anyway, it is definitely starting to look like one of the changes for the upcoming eighth season is seeing more of an adult version of this character. As Molly Quinn revealed recently in a picture on Twitter, she for one is going to have a different look with a shorter hairstyle. Also, TVLine reports that this is just one portion of a more adult “makeover” that Alexis is going to receive for the eighth season. That means more than likely being off and doing more of her own thing, which could in turn create a variety of interesting new dynamics.

This is one of the reasons why we are so intrigued by the upcoming season of the show; we know there are concerns about Castle, Beckett, and really almost every other main character out there, but we do think it is going to be okay. New showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter seem to be all about the next evolution of each character, and there are some cool things that go along with that.

The new “Castle” season premieres in September. Hopefully, we’ll have more cool news long before then!
