‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: All should expect the Vanessa inquisition

VanessaBy the time we make it to the “Big Brother” eviction show Thursday, it is starting to look more and more like Vanessa may develop a case of laryngitis. We’re not quite sure that we have ever heard someone spend as much time talking as we’ve heard with her over the past 24 hours.

Before we go further, a quick refresher: Clay and Becky are on the block, and Clay plans on using the Veto on himself. Originally the plan was to backdoor Austin, but after a series of insane conversations and speculation (read more here) the Sixth Sense alliance has decided at least for now to stay together. The argument with keeping Austin is that while he is a liar, he’s not out to hurt his alliance. He just says dumb stuff, thinking that he is protecting Liz from danger.

Today, the focus for Vanessa has been trying to find someone to be a fitting replacement nominee, and this has led to her interrogating a number of different people. She spoke with Steve and Liz at length, and through these conversations we’ve gleamed that like with Jeff two weeks ago, she is desperately seeking a “reason” to nominate someone. Jackie is a strong candidate, and Jason has emerged because she thinks that he can be caught in a lie. Somehow the Last Laugh twist is also involved in here now, with Vanessa throwing out a variety of possibilities (with very few of them being true). She’s said that she doesn’t want to target Becky because Becky volunteered to be a pawn, but Clay has also claimed that much of the original promises are now out the window because the plan wasn’t for Vanessa to remain HoH.

For now, our feeling is that the most likely replacement will be Jason given that he is probably the biggest threat from the other side of the house. With that said, we really would not be that shocked to see Austin go up as a replacement even after all of that. He, Jason, Jackie, and Meg are all the top candidate; Meg would only go up if it is decided that everyone wants Becky to leave.
