‘Arrow’ season 4 doubles down with ‘Teen Wolf’ star JR Bourne

Arrow -This time around, it is ironically “Arrow” who is adding someone to the rogues’ gallery.

As first reported by TheWrap, “Teen Wolf” actor JR Bourne has been cast for at least one upcoming episode of the show’s upcoming fourth season, and is going to be playing a part of Double Down, a man known for tossing two fried chicken patties at people stuffed with sauce, cheese, and little pieces of bacon. Apologies for that fast food joke! Seriously, Double Down is otherwise known as Jeremy Tell, a metahuman who can turn his tattoos of playing cards into weapons to strike at his foes. This marks only the second time on “Arrow” that we have seen an adversary really described using the metahuman term; we previously had that last year with Deathbolt, who eventually also crossed over to “The Flash,” otherwise known as the place where these characters tend to run amok.

For those curious, Double down is one of the Rogues in the Flash comics … hence the way in which this article began.

You will see Bourne in the third episode of the season, one after we get our first look at Jeri Ryan as Jessica Danforth, a longtime Queen family friend who may be running for office. The biggest casting news of the summer has been Neil McDonough playing Damien Darhk, believed for the time being to be the season 4 Big Bad and someone we are going to meet almost right away.

Bourne is the second major “Teen Wolf” star to appear on “Arrow” in an important role. Colton Hanyes famously played Roy Harper after leaving “Teen Wolf,” and then went on to depart this show as a series regular last year.
