‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 8 video: Wait for the Red Dragon

In case you did not get the memo when we wrote about this last week, unfortunately “Hannibal” is no longer airing on Thursday nights anymore on NBC. That is especially a bummer when you consider the story that we are getting starting this weekend with Red Dragon beginning.

Is this a story that the show really could have used a little earlier in its run to get more attention? We can understand that argument, given that this is for the most part the most famous storyline from the books to play out on the show so far. It was a hit feature film, and the Tooth Fairy is a terrifying villain who kills family, and has a creation that is similar and yet different from Dr. Lecter’s own. It is his presence that will cause Will Graham to seek out Hannibal behind bars, and get sucked back into this situation after spending some time away.

The video below is a brief but worthy introduction to the story that we are going to have moving forward. Expect to see some new faces, plenty of old ones (including some who have been absent through most of season 3), and some reminders that somehow, some of the craziest stuff on the entire series may still be to come … even if Mason Verger is now dead.
