‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Austin the unaware

austinJust in case you are wondering how the rest of this “Big Brother” season is going to go, we’re starting to get a sense: The Sixth Sense is going to start cannibalizing itself, leading to eventually the After Dark Crew starting to get more power. Then, the Sixth Sense remnants may pair up with some of the floaters, or maybe the Jackie / John / Becky / Steven group ends up becoming their version of the Exterminators and just starts cleaning out the rest of the house.

Much of our feeling on this seems to stem from the fact that Austin is the apparent target for many next week. Shelli and Clay are fine to turn on him, and they just want to make sure that Vanessa is now on the same page. Some trust between them was lost when Austin let Johnny Mac win the Veto, so she probably will be okay. You know that Liz is probably fine to get this guy out of there so he’ll stop creeping on her.

For Austin, he won’t see it coming. The guy is completely blind by whatever crush he has on Liz, and his game has crumbled as a result of it. There was a time when we thought he legitimately had what it took to win, since he knows the show and understands strategy. He’s just in full-on lovesick puppy mode now, and there’s little hope for him.

Does it make sense for Clay and Shelli to target Austin now? We’re not entirely sure it does from a Clay point of view especially. Once he is gone and with Jeff already out, he is the most-imposing guy left in the house physically. While Clay hasn’t won a competition, perception is that he is capable of it. Perception means a lot in this game, and he could become a bigger target. If we were them, we would go after someone like Johnny Mac at this point; we love John, but they have to know that he has an actual motivation to get rid of them. Why target someone who doesn’t seem to be gunning for you next?
