‘NCIS’ season 13 filming starts for Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, cast
You may be waiting for over two more months to see “NCIS” season 13 on the air, but there is no more need to wait and see when filming is officially going to begin!
In a post on Twitter (see the bottom of the article) Pauley Perrette (Abby) confirms that the first scenes of the new season were shot yesterday. Of course, the nature of said scenes is something you’ll have to wait for. Given the way that season 12 ended with the massive cliffhanger around Gibbs’ life, we don’t imagine that show is going to be keen on releasing much information this time around. This is often handled on a season-by-season basis, depending on whatever secrets the cast and crew have to keep. With a guy like Gibbs, almost the entire series revolves around whether or not he is a part of the team. Here’s hoping he pulls through.
We’ve also got another tweet from Michael Weatherly (Tony) to go along with this, mostly because it never hurts to hear from as many different people as possible. Here’s to hoping that both actors get some great long-term arcs and individual stories this season that show off their range, and tackle some issues of the day currently impacting the military. “NCIS” is typically pretty good at taking an unabashed approach to current events.
The entire cast and crew has to be starting season 13 feeling rather good about themselves. Just remember for a minute here that the series won the title of most-watched show in the world for the second straight year recently.

The only spoiler I want to hear is that Bishop will be getting teh boot when her contract is finally up. She has been a complete waste.

I hope it’s true that Tony gets to do more this season. I love to see Weatherly do drama and he didn’t get any last year. Gibbs and McGee were the only ones who were cast in danger or had any personal drama last season. Tony didn’t do much of anything or figure in significantly in solving the cases either. I hope they don’t portray him as a vain incompetent disrespected temporary leader. I’m tired of seeing my favorite decimated as the evening’s joke or to make other characters look smarter.

Fat chance of that happening. We thought he was going to have a great year in season 12, and he ended up doing less than ever. There’s no reason to think that will change.
