‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: The Battle of the Block winners and dethroned Head of Household

This Battle of the Block on “Big Brother 17” was an enormous one. Not only would it determine who was going to be staying on the block, but it is also the first time in weeks that we actually have four people in John / Jason and Jackie / James who really want to win it to save themselves. (Despite Shelli and Clay trying to get John to throw it at first, they backed off on that later.)

So who ended up emerging as the victors? It’s none than … James and Jackie. Seriously. We thought for sure that John and Jason would have an edge since it looked like Johnny Mac was actually going to try. Alas, this just was not to be. This was a very messy competition, at least based on some of what we saw immediately afterwards.

Shelli is now the sole Head of Household … again, and Liz / Julia are deposed. This should be crazy. The thing that stinks about this for Johnny Mac fans is that we can envision scenarios where he goes home if he does not win the Veto, especially if Jason does. This would mean that he would have to go against someone like maybe a Meg or a Becky, depending on who Shelli was comfortable nominating. She said two weeks ago that she didn’t want to be the one to send home Audrey, but she may have to revisit that depending on what happens here. These guys are both big personalities, so we imagine that if we’re production, we’re kicking ourselves over the result of the comp.

We’ll have another update later tonight, and we’ll deal with the aftermath of this more in that.
