‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Nominations and a familiar feel

Johnny Mac -What’s interesting about the nominations in the “Big Brother 17” house today is that for the first time really since the start of the season, we do not have a team deliberately throwing the Battle of the Block in order to keep a specific Head of Household in power. While at first Shelli and Clay did tell Johnny Mac to throw the Battle so that they could target Jason, she has since reversed course somewhat, telling him to win it if he wants, and that it is unfair to keep asking him to do this … even though they did before the ceremony.

The nominations today are stuffed full of Js: Liz nominated Jackie and James, while Shelli of course nominated John and Jason. These are interesting choices in that they more or less ensure that either Jason or James could be evicted depending on the Veto results, and they create some good flexibility depending on what happens with the Power of Veto. Shelli has talked about this week being where they finally get rid of Audrey, though of course she and Clay do what Jason gone, as well. We also feel like nobody would be that upset to lose Jackie, and that is an easy move in the event that the players want almost no blood on their hands at all.

This is probably going to be an interesting Battle of the Block to learn more about, since we firmly expect John and Jason to win it now that there is seemingly no more throwing going on. Jackie and James are inoffensive choices for picks from Liz, and there are multiple replacement nominations out there in between Becky, Audrey, or Meg. We don’t see her putting up Steve.

While Shelli is not getting more of a target on herself in putting John up again, we imagine that she could end up regretting this for many reasons. The biggest one is that sooner or later, John could end up winning HoH, and you have to think that she and Clay are going to be his targets.
