Is ‘Hannibal’ season 3, episode 7 new tonight on NBC? Looking ahead

Hannibal -We are gearing up for a big milestone episode on “Hannibal” … but unfortunately, you are going to have to wait for a little while longer to see it.

If you missed the announcement earlier in the week, NBC has unfortunately pushed both the Hugh Dancy – Mads Mikkelsen series, along with “Aquarius,” to Saturday night. It is a bummer, but we’re not that surprised. The ratings for the show were pretty bad, to the point where affiliates were expressing some displeasure and the network had to do what they could to appease them. At this point, we are grateful that these episodes are airing at all, and DVR and NBC.com are out there for those who cannot watch it live.

What we can tell you now is that this episode, entitled “Digestivo,” is going to be the end of the Hannibal story arc in Europe. He is heading back, rather against his will, to Mason Verger’s farm. We do not think it is necessarily a spoiler at this point to give away that he is not going to be killed there. It has already been revealed that we are going into the story of “Red Dragon,” which is going to be very much about Hannibal in prison. Time will leap forward, and Will Graham in particular will be in a very different place in his life.

While this move is troubling, the good news here is that this is still a very good show. With that, we are still holding out hope that “Hannibal” has a potential home with someone who will support and allow it to finish its story.
