‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Callie’s surprising birthday gift

There is a big birthday coming up on Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters,” and clearly it means a variety of different things to different people. You don’t have to get any better evidence of this very thing than in the sneak peek video below!

As you can see, Callie having a birthday and it is an opportunity for her and Mariana to plan towards their future … at least when it comes to owning a car. At first, Mariana offers to give her $600 (a very generous gift for a teenager) that she can use towards getting her own form of transit. When Maia Mitchell’s character refuses to take that sort of cash from her, the idea is then hatched that they then go in on the car together, and find a way to share the gas and insurance costs.

There is still a hurdle that needs to be leaped over before this plan becomes a reality, though, and that involves speaking to Lena and Stef about it. We’re sure that in many ways they could be okay with this, but at the same time, they also may have plenty of reservations. For one, these two are both still extremely young, and that is a lot of responsibility for someone at this age and part of life. What if these two fight, or what if there are unforeseen problems?
