‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 10 preview: Did someone forget some key ingredients?

MasterChef -We really cannot say that tonight’s “MasterChef” episode was altogether entertaining. Someone in Kerry went home, and we say “someone” intentionally since you may not have had any clue he was even on the show. This is what made this particular episode so easy to telegraph: There was zero evidence that anyone else was going to be sent packing at all.

Could things change next week? Possibly, since we’re going back to the mystery box / elimination challenge format, and the preview after tonight’s episode hyped that there could be a surprising elimination coming … with the emphasis on “could be.” There could still be a way that this ends up being a letdown.

One thing specifically it mentioned was that Shelly was going to suddenly struggle to remember to retrieve every key ingredient for a challenge, and that in itself is very problematic given that it could lead to her having to beg other contestants for help.

Yet, we somehow anticipate that she is going to be able to find her way out of it. Shelly is a pretty remarkable contestant in that she has somehow been determined enough to survive multiple eliminations at this point, even though there were a few times (even in the premiere) where it looked like she could be going home. We would be most worried about Sara, given that she is the one person in the top 11 we have a hard time remembering. Based on the formula that this series has established, that does typically mean that trouble could end up coming her way in some form.
