‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 spoilers: New photo focuses on Andrew Lincoln’s Rick

Right now, we are in the midst of what we would call the calm before the storm as far as “The Walking Dead” goes. While filming is underway on the new season, production is doing the right thing and keeping things as far as filming goes pretty hush-hush.

However, that is going to change later in the week. The big San Diego Comic-Con panel for the show is coming, and with that we likely anticipate a few reveals. Maybe there will be a new cast member revealed, or there will be some other sort of twist when it comes to the characters we do know. If nothing else, expect some sort of promo or behind-the-scenes footage. That is something the show does tend to do almost every time they have one of these such panels.

What we have for you today is something rather specific: A new first-look photo that puts Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes first and foremost. Is there any sort of significance here? Maybe you can look at this as a character at a crossroads, trying to figure out whether or not Rick is going to go the way of pacifism (unlikely) in Alexandria, or continue to embrace a brutal side of his personality. We don’t imagine that this will be a man who takes anything that comes his way lightly anymore. He ultimately has no reason to at this point. He has seen so many people in his group die, and he knows what sort of world this is.

The new season of “The Walking Dead” will premiere on AMC a little bit later this fall. We’ll have some more news soon.
