See ‘Arrow’ season 4, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ showrunners at another Comic-Con panel

Arrow -We’ve long attested to be a showrunner junkie; sure, everyone loves to appreciate actors and the people who are in front of the camera, but these are the people who make the shows go! This is why one of the panels that sounds the most exciting to us at San Diego Comic-Con (unfortunately, we’re not attending this year) is “Writing for TV: From First Draft to Getting Staffed.” This will teach out quite a bit about what it takes to run a show, and you’ve got everyone from showrunners to agents to network executives all here at the same time.

This panel is going to be held on Friday, July 10 in room 24ABC starting at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time. Take a look at the official description of the panel below, which features “Arrow’s” newly-named co-showrunner and also the new addition for DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” both of which are coming on The CW over the course of this upcoming season:

“Moderator Spiro Skentzos (Grimm), panelist Phil Klemmer (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Wendy Mericle (Arrow), Kerry Ehrin (Bates Motel), Karen Horne (VP, NBCUniversal), Cori Wellins (agent, WME) and Steve Iwanyk (manager, The Gotham Group) as they discuss navigating the TV spec terrain, including beginner’s mistakes, what they look for in a writer and what it takes for you to write a killer spec that will stand above the crowd. There will be a huge Q&A component, so bring your questions.”

As someone who was inspired to write at an early age so much by watching some of the various TV shows of the ’90s, we really hope that these shows now are continuing to do the same thing for viewers young and old. Having something like this panel is an added opportunity for insight.
