‘Falling Skies’ season 5, episode 2 preview: More details on ‘Hunger Pains’

This past Sunday night, the premiere of “Falling Skies” on TNT set up some of what the final conflict was going to be. Do we feel like the Woodrow Wilson clue from space was a little bit of a letdown after the long cliffhanger? More or less, but at least Tom and the 2nd Mass are starting to figure out the right road to travel down if they want to have any hope at all of making their way out of this invasion alive.

The promo below for Sunday night’s “Hunger Pains” offers up at least a little bit more in the way of information, though we are hardly looking at something here that feels altogether revolutionary for the show. We basically get a chance to peer more at the battles between the humans and some of our adversaries, along with the cultivation of a new plan.

As for what some of the potential roadblocks are at the moment, we’d say that there is a pretty enormous one in the form of resources. The 2nd Mass is starting to run out of the basic things needed for survival, and there are only a few options that await them as a result of that: Either they can try to figure out if there is a new resource to mine, or they may have to eventually consider thinning the herd.
