NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: Zachary Quinto will appear in premiere

Hannibal -

Isn’t it nice to finally have some news on “Hannibal“? We definitely feel like we’ve waited for long enough, and that is why are rather thrilled to share some of the first details on “Antipasto,” which is the upcoming June 4 premiere on NBC. The last time the show will have aired before then, more than a year will have passed. Not only that, but we will have been left on this terrible cliffhanger that may have left Jack Crawford, Will Graham, and Alana Bloom all dead by Hannibal’s hand, while he managed to escape to Europe with Bedelia.

What is rather intriguing about this first episode, though, is that there is no guarantee that we are going to see either Will or any of the other “cliffhanger characters.” NBC has just unveiled the first synopsis (via SpoilerTV) of the premiere, and all we know for certain is what you can see below, coupled with the news that Zachary Quinto of “Heroes” and “American Horror Story: Asylum” is set to guest-star:

“Having successfully escaped FBI capture, Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving through the European landscape, with Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) in tow.But Dr. Lecter’s old habits and opulent tastes are still on display as he settles into a new identity and life in Florence, Italy, working at the Palazzo Capponi museum. Glimpses into the past help inform his relationship with Bedelia, a pairing not clearly defined as friend or foe.”

Given that we do have 13 episodes, who knows? Maybe this will just be a foundation episode to set the stage for everything that is coming up a little bit later. If we start to understand Bedelia better in this episode, then we are probably okay with waiting a while longer to start to figure out where Will is and what is going on with him and the other members of the BAU team.
