‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 finale spoilers: One powerful Mariska Hargitay story
You have seen quite a bit of drama throughout “Law & Order: SVU” season 16, and there have been times where we have seen Olivia Benson fear for her foster child Noah’s safety. Unfortunately, little of that may compare to the events of next week’s finale. With a title like “Surrendering Noah,” you know that this is going to be all sorts of intense.
Before we do anything else, let’s go ahead and describe per the synopsis a little of what you can expect:
“Sgt. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and ADA Barba (Raúl Esparza) take Johnny D (guest star Charles Halford) to trial for sex trafficking, rape, assault and kidnapping. But when Baby Noah’s adoption becomes entangled in the case, Benson fears for Noah’s future and his safety. In an intense courtroom showdown, the SVU will face a threat that could change the squad forever.”
The promo for the episode below is perhaps a little bit more specific, if for no other reason than that it shows Mariska Hargitay’s character learning that Noah’s biological father is trying to get back in the picture, and is willing to do anything that he can in order to ensure that he gets his way. Unfortunately for Benson, this means resorting to violence and threatening to shoot up a courthouse. There is no guarantee that everything will be all right in this episode, though by the end of it we may have answers on if Benson’s adoption is official.
What do you want to see on the “SVU” finale, and what do you think is going to happen to Benson both personally and professionally? Give us some of your early thoughts / predictions in the comments.

It certainly is amazing how fast the season went. Next Wednesday is the season finale. Would SVU kill off one of the main 6? Another commenter mentioned that they don’t like to do that. He’s right, they never have on SVU, but there’s always a first time. The fact that NOBODY except Mariska is signed for next season with the season finale upon us doesn’t make me feel optimistic. The payroll has been cut for 4 straight seasons. Are they really going to raise it for next season? That would mean giving well deserved raises to Kelli Giddish, Danny Pino and the others. Next season is Warren Leight’s LAST as show runner for SVU. Should there be a season 18(Your lips to the Good Lord’s ears) Mariska Hargitay will need a new contract. Can they afford to pay her possibly $500,000 per episode? As crazy as all that is, Can NBC afford to let this show end? Many people think that NBC’s 2 best shows are The Blacklist and Chicago FIRE. They did a lousy job with the Blacklist this past season, making people wait 2 months for new episodes. They aren’t even starting CHICAGO FIRE on time next season, delaying it until November. This is how you treat your 2 BEST SHOWS? Let’s see what happens next week.

I think that either Fin or Amaro are going to be gone based on the foreshadowing from the last episode and in the preview of the finale it shows a man laying on the ground. Maybe Carisi? Probably not Barba. Hell, it could just be Johnny D. But I do think they have killed off a main male character. I really do. I tried to get into L&O LA and then they killed off Skeet Ulrich. I was done. It wasn’t that amazing anyway. Siting on pins and needles until next Wednesday for sure. I have watched this show for literally half of my life and really don’t want it to end. I came to terms with Stabler not being present anymore but am certainly not happy about it. Amaro or Tutuola leave and I will be very upset. These characters, their stories, the whole show in general are amazing. All great things must come to an end so who knows…

Someone on Twitter said that it’s going to be Amaro(Danny Pino), that he wants to leave the show. They’ve never killed off any of the main characters on SVU. Carisi is supposed to say he’s leaving for Law School at the end. Tutuola(Ice-T) said in the last episode that he doesn’t want to be 2nd in command. If it was Rollins, I will be ripping NBC every day for the rest of my life. if Danny Pino wants to leave, I want to know why. He supposedly made $100-125,000 an episode on his first 4 year deal. He wasn’t in 6-8 episodes this season, no explanation from NBC. He deserves a nice raise and all the cast members should be in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. NBC has cut the SVU payroll for the last 4 years. The only person signed for next season is Mariska. I consider cutting the payroll again Unacceptable. They need to add money to this show. I’m getting a feeling that someone from Chicago PD will be coming over to SVU next season. They have too many people on that show. If they do kill off either ICE-T or Danny, I also will be very upset and will have a lot to say. Since next season is Warren Leight’s last as show runner, NBC might be thinking of ending this show, which would be a big mistake.

What if it’s Tucker? He is in the episode. Could be him? Eh? That would still be huge! Langan is supposed to be there as well. hmmm I just know whatever it is, it’s a big deal. There are two men on the ground outside the courtroom and one of them is bleeding out. I’m assuming one is JD and the other is just a huge question mark aside from it’s obviously a male. I have watched that clip over and over trying to compare the suits to the previous scene. I don’t think it’s Amaro though. He is injured in the courtroom I think because Benson has blood on her when she runs out into the hallway. The little bit of arm belonging to the guy on the floor bleeding out looks like a white man. I’m betting Carisi, Tucker or Barba.
I just started watching Chicago PD after the first crossover and really enjoy it. Wolf and Leight did an awesome job with those two events I thought. I just don’t want SVU to lose steam by killing off characters that we, as viewers, have grown fond of. Seriously, pins and needles until 5/20. I am such a dork for this show. hahaha The boyfriend judges me all of the time.

It’s not Carisi because he was standing looking at the bodies. At first I thought it was Amanda because I thought that spot next to one of the bodies was blonde hair but it wasn’t so it’s definitely a guy. One of the guys has to he Johny D. It’s not Barba because he was still in the courtroom when benson ran out. Why did benson have blood on her shoulder before she even touched the bodies is my question? Maybe someone got shot in the courtroom. Maybe she was shot. I don’t think so but if she was she didn’t die so who was it? The only person left that is a main character is Amaro. Oh and I forgot to mention Tutuola was taking the guy in the floors pulse so it wasn’t him. And I’m pretty sure the guy on the floor closest to benson in the preview is wearing a white shirt. It might be grey but I think it’s white and amaro was wearing a white shirt :( I don’t know who it was but I don’t want it to be amaro ! Him and Amanda are my favorites and they haven’t even been in the show that much this season. That also makes sense for the reason he could be killed off. He may not want to be on the show anymore so this is a way for his character to be taken off the show in a normal way and not just disappear. It could be Tucker but I don’t think that is a big deal for the show. But it would be better if it was tucker because they don’t really like him anyway and it would keep the show from losing a main character. I don’t know I can’t wait for tomorrow but I also am afraid to watch. What do you guys think ? Ps. I know about the attorney also (mariskas husband) but u don’t think he is that big of a deal either. The only one that would really make a difference is Danny Pino. He was bensons only partner aside from Elliot. I think it would be really hard on her if she lost Amaro also. Just like she lost Elliot. But I don’t know?! I guess we have to wait for tomorrow !!!!!!
