‘The Flash’ episode 18 preview: Boss talks ‘All-Star Team-Up,’ Emily Bett Rickards appearance

The Atom -“I thought Central City was supposed to be the fun one.”

This is what Felicity Smoak says in the latest preview for Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash,” which carries with it the title of “All-Star Team-Up” and also the hope that it can be every bit of fun as the idea suggests. After all, you’ve got the premise of Felicity and the Atom coming over, while Barry Allen tries to fight crime and deal with the idea that Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash, the man responsible for the death of his mother. As executive producer Andrew Kreisberg notes, the challenge here for Barry is going to be figuring out a way to keep his cool while also keeping this secret. If Dr. Wells suspects something, it could be huge trouble, especially since we already saw what he was willing to do to Cisco in order to achieve his goal.

So why is the Atom specifically around right now? It is largely due to his desire to further improve upon his existing Atom suit, which is starting to come together properly but still has a few issues in functionality. This is where the team at STAR Labs comes into play.

The one thing that is curious about this promo to us is how it makes almost zero mention of what happened with Felicity and Ray on the last episode of “Arrow.” Specifically, we mean the revelation that Felicity does not necessarily love her boyfriend in the same way that he loves her. Meanwhile, what about Ray’s eventual superpowers? Those have to be coming soon, since he was injected with nanotechnology already as a means of saving his life.
