‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 9 video: The BlueBell apocalypse is nigh

To some, losing “Hart of Dixie” may be the apocalypse in its own way, but this is what we may be looking at going into the next two weeks. We’re not hearing great things at the moment about the show’s future, but what we can say right now at least is that Friday night’s “End of Days” looks to be all sorts of hilarious.

The premise of this penultimate episode of season 4 is utterly ridiculous. As executive producer Leila Gerstein maps out in the video below, things start off happily enough, as all of our main characters are in relationships and actually enjoying the company of one another. That has not been necessarily the case for most of the season thanks to one little fight after another. However, nothing stays peaceful for long. AnnaBeth is visited in a dream by the ghost of BlueBell founder Cyrus Lavinius Jeremiah Jones, who prophecizes five specific omens that are going to suggest that the end of the road is here for the Alabama town. When these things start to actually happen, let’s just say that it becomes the perfect time for the town to panic.

Almost everyone on the show ends up feeling a result of this chaos, as everyone starts to run about trying to fulfill whatever they personally feel like is the most important thing they want to do before they die. Some of these last wishes are roll-on-the-floor funny, and perfect for this town. Eventually, though, you may find that there are some more sincere things that happen, as well, before the episode ends. This should be a good one.
