‘Bachelor in Paradise’ spoilers: Ashley Salter first ‘confirmed’ contestant

Just in case you are wondering, it looks like Ashley Salter has accepted a proposal on the day of “The Bachelor” finale: Joining “Bachelor in Paradise” for the upcoming summer season.

It was during the “Women Tell All” special last week that the offer was first made to Ashley by Chris Harrison to appear on the show, and we never actually got a response from her as to whether or not she would do it. There is zero question in my mind why producers would want to have her on board the show. After all, she is tremendous entertainment for them, and completely different than almost everyone else we have seen on the series over the years.

The tweet below from show creator Mike Fleiss certainly seems to suggest that she is on board, which makes this the earlier that we’ve ever learned a casting spoiler for a season of the show. Hey, what if she meets someone between now and then? We’re sure there’s some sort of escape clause in there.

As for how well Ashley could do on the summer show, we’re torn. We feel like she could be seen as a whole lot of fun, and she’s at least not someone whose goal will be to bring lots of drama. With that being said, if she does any more onion-digging or trips to Mesa Verde, she may prove to be far too aloof for her own good.

Ultimately, we’ll get a chance to see either way when this show ultimately premieres on ABC in the late summer.
