‘Longmire’ season 4 notes: Katee Sackhoff and DVD reminders

Longmire -Waiting for the return of “Longmire“? We get it. These are a long few months before even any news about the show starts to come out, and as a writer covering all things related to the show, the bummer is that there has not been a whole lot to even discuss. This of this article is yet another in the list of progress reports, given that we know at least that the story for season 4 is being hammered out, and everyone is preparing to start production in the relatively near future.

First, a reminder that the third season of the Warner Bros.-produced show is coming to DVD on March 3, which is great news if you want to start to binge some old episodes in that format before it premieres again. Hopefully, we’ll also see the third season hit Netflix at some point months before season 4 does; typically, they tend to add seasons a few weeks or a month before new ones premiere, but we’re speaking there more in terms of shows that are not Netflix exclusives. The unique way in which this show is being handled makes it somewhat difficult to figure out.

You can pre-order the third season now on Amazon for under $30. Interestingly, the Blu-Ray edition at the moment is actually being sold at a slightly lower price point. Jump on that! It’s worth the upgrade to see some of the beautiful camera work.

Also, we have another update below via Katee Sackhoff, who reminds you just how excited she is to be in business with the streaming service. We love some of the fun that comes out of the Netflix acquisition; the show was effectively criticized by many for being “too old,” and yet they are now a part of a hip, current provider that is schools ahead of what networks are doing right now. These actors forming a relationship with Netflix is great for this project, and for any others that may happen down the line.
