‘Gotham’ spoilers: First details on ‘Scarecrow’ episode

Gotham -We first heard a while ago that “Gotham” was going to touch on the Scarecrow story in some way, with the twist in the story being that we were going to see the comic-book character’s father being the principal villain. Fox has just released the first details from the February 9 episode entitled “Scarecrow,” and it does give us a sense about who Gerald Crane, father of the man who will someday be known as Dr. Jonathan Crane, is going to be within the context of this show.

Before we do anything else, let’s start first and foremost by sharing the official synopsis below:

“Gordon and Bullock set out to stop Gerald Crane, a biology teacher who has been harvesting the glands of his murder victims. Meanwhile, after finding herself in an unusual setting, Mooney continues plotting to gain power, and Falcone attempts to change Maroni’s plan for the Penguin. Then, Bruce takes a treacherous hike.”

The one fascinating thing to note here is that Maroni, Falcone, and Fish are all still in the picture by the time this episode airs. Monday brought the end of the road for Fish’s protegee Liza, and after Falcone sniffed out her plan, there was a part of us that did seriously wonder whether or not she was going to make it through the next couple of weeks. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this series so far is despite the grim nature of this city, most of the important figures are still alive. How long can that possibly last? We’re betting not too much longer.
