‘Elementary’ season 3 spoilers: The origins of Kitty and Sherlock

ElementaryElementary” has set the stage for a two-part episode starting on Thursday, and the main push of it is fairly simple: What happens when Kitty Winter is forced to stare into her past? The man responsible for hurting her is now in New York City, and Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson have to figure out a way to continue to empower Kitty, and ensure that she does not get dragged back into a dark place (or have something far worse happen to her).

We have already teased pretty in-depth some of the first important things to note when it comes to the first part of this episode, which features Sherlock calling on Joan, who is going to have a hard time balancing his requests with her new job working as an insurance investigator. So what about the second part? This story arc will conclude on January 29 with an episode entitled “The One That Got Away,” and it will do more than show you what will happen in the present. It also takes you further into the past.

Take a look at the synopsis below for a few more details:

“As Kitty begins to unravel due to the imminent threat to her safety, Sherlock and Joan intensify their efforts to help her. Also, the origin of Sherlock and Kitty’s relationship is revealed.”

Is there hope for this to be a great storyline? We at least feel more excited about this than anything else the show has delivered so far this year. Season 3 took a little while to get going, but now we are getting to where the action and the drama is really starting to bubble over.
