Sunday night marks the premiere of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC, so how better to prepare yourself than by listening to a pre-show podcast for the entire season?
If you listen below, you can hear CarterMatt Co-Founders Matt Carter and Jessa Carter talking about anything and everything that we know so far about this new season, and that includes a quick look at the entire cast (and Matt’s impression of Donald Trump firing everyone). There are individual spotlights on every single person, including some details about what they are each bringing to the table … and what they could struggle with. If you have already seen some of our pre-show spotlight articles, then you know already a little bit about how we are feeling about this season.
More than anything else, this podcast is emblematic of the overall level of excitement that we have for this season as a whole. While “The Celebrity Apprentice” is hardly Shakespeare by any means, it is a very fun series that really captures what we want most in reality competition: Strategy, silliness, and rules that never seem to make sense. Basically, the way that Donald Trump chooses to fire people the majority of the time keeps you from taking it too seriously.
Here’s a quick update on the schedule for this season for those who have not heard already. The new season premieres on Sunday night, and following that, new episodes are going to air on Mondays every week in two-hour blocks, until the competition is at an end. We’re happy that we’re not having to wait very long; however, at the same time we’re sort-of bummed that the show is up against another campy reality show in “The Bachelor.” We cannot see this really helping the ratings for either program much.
