The ‘Entourage’ movie trailer has finally arrived

There are not many times here at CarterMatt where we veer into movie territory, but when you are talking about a movie that is a continuation of a TV show, we do like to jump in for a second.

Case in point? The new trailer that is out there today for the upcoming feature film of “Entourage.” Here is the one thing we don’t understand: Why is there a feature film of this? Why not just make it into a TV movie for HBO? Maybe it is a budget thing, or maybe this is the only way that the gang would get back together.

Regardless, we don’t necessarily feel 100% that this movie is going to be what we hope, and that stems in part from our personal belief that “Entourage” really stopped being a tremendous show about two and a half years into its run. It still had shining moments, but we would not put it in the same category as “Sex and the City” or “Game of Thrones” as one of the greatest shows in HBO history.

Still, there are a ton of good people involved here, and maybe distance does make the heart grow fonder, and you will want to watch this show for more of the nostalgic reasons. When you remember a show, you tend to do so mostly for the good parts that you really liked. For example, most people remember “The Office” for the days with Steve Carell, or “Scrubs” back when J.D. did not feel like he was constantly about to leave.

Let’s just hope that by the end of this movie, at least a few people decide to hug it out.
