Finally, we come today bearing some good news for “Game of Thrones” fans: A chance to watch something for the fifth season that does not require you signing up for something, and then watching a video on your mobile device.
So what is going on in the video below? There is really about five or six seconds of footage in here, and while that is not much, it is still noteworthy. For example, you can see Cersei walking, and based on what we know already, Lena Headey’s character is going to have a very memorable moment revolving around walking through the city this season.
Also, you can get a brief glimpse of Tyrion’s new getup, which is essential given that he is now more or less in hiding in the wake of everything that he did at the end of last season. You can also see a tiny taste of Arya arriving in a new land, which fans of the book series should be familiar with already.
As for the rest of the video, it contains some good footage of the upcoming season of “Veep,” and a new comedy series in “Togetherness” that we are fairly intrigued to see. Also, you have some highlights of 2014 for those of you who are feeling particularly nostalgic. While this wasn’t the best year for HBO save for “Game of Thrones” and “The Normal Heart,” the network still has better overall content than almost any other premium channel out there.
The new season of “Game of Thrones” will probably premiere in March or April, so stay tuned.
