‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 8 podcast: On ‘The Flash’ crossover, Firestorm, Diggle with Jessa
We are a little bit behind at the moment in presenting the latest editions of our “Arrow” podcast, but for the news that we share at the end of this new one all about “The Flash” crossover, we feel like there is enough to check out here to make this worthy of a listen.
This is probably the first time that Matt Carter and Jessa really go in-depth about “The Flash” since the show started this season, but here, the discussion ranges from everything from Barry Allen’s transformation into “Crazy Barry,” the relationships that have been established on this show already, and whether or not the Rainbow Raider is a compelling villain. Also, there is of course attention given to the big surprises at the end of the podcast: The arrival of Firestorm, and also the resurfacing of the mother of Oliver’s child, and how he still does not know about this kid.
Moving into the “Arrow” portion of things, we discuss more about Captain Boomerang, and whether or not DC Comics are limiting the use of this character and others due to the Suicide Squad movie that is coming up. Also, there is some other discussion about Diggle’s engagement to Lyla, our fears about this character possibly not making it to the altar, and also whether or not we really feel like this wedding could be a fun thing for us to watch on the show.
We close this week’s edition with the latest news about the upcoming “Supergirl” series on CBS, and how it may end up being set within the same universe as both “Arrow” and “The Flash.” In turn, this could lead to more crossovers like this one.
